I’ve had long-standing fascinations with both pop culture history and charcoal portraiture. On a whim late New Year’s Eve, I started drawing a charcoal rendition of Boris Karloff in his most famous role, as Frankenstein’s monster from the old Universal horror classic. I finished it shortly after midnight, and was so excited to see the results that I continued drawing throughout the weekend, creating a dozen more portraits of some of my favorite personalities from popular culture.
These drawings were done with pencil and charcoal on 9″x12″bristol board. Purchase a limited edition art print of any of the original illustration for only ten bucks. Art prints are faithfully reproduced on museum-quality archival paper, numbered and hand-signed by the artist.
