Valerie Leon was known mostly for small roles in the British “Carry On” series of films, appearing in seven of them. Leon only ended up doing one film for Hammer Studios: 1971′s Blood From The Mummy’s Tomb. Unfortunately, the film was doomed from the start. Original director Seth Holt died from a heart attack, and Peter Cushing, the original star of the film, had to leave due to the serious illness of his wife. However, Leon’s gorgeous dual-role in the film makes it a worthwhile entry in Hammer’s series of mummy-themed films.
