Although she had already appeared in more than a dozen films and TV shows, it was her starring role in Hammer Studios’ 1966 remake of One Million Years B.C. that made Raquel Welch an international sex symbol. A promotional poster for the film, featuring Raquel in a skimpy fur bikini, remains one of the bestselling posters of all time. She continued to turn heads with her steamy and, for the time, controversial love scenes with Jim Brown in the 1969 western 100 Rifles. She appeared opposite Bill Cosby in the blaxploitation-era comedy Mother, Juggs & Speed (you can guess which one she played). Now in her sixties, she is still a knockout, and continues to act occasionally.
