Valerie Leon was known mostly for small roles in the British “Carry On” series of films, appearing in seven of them. Leon only ended up doing one film for Hammer Studios: 1971′s Blood From The Mummy’s Tomb. Unfortunately, the film was doomed from the start. Original director Seth Holt died from a heart attack, and Peter Cushing, the original star of the film, had to leave due to the serious illness of his wife. However, Leon’s gorgeous dual-role in the film makes it a worthwhile entry in Hammer’s series of mummy-themed films.

Leon appeared in the Roger Moore James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977 (with fellow Hammer Girl Caroline Munro), and later also went on to a small role in Sean Connery’s 1983 Bond reprisal Never Say Never Again. She currently runs her own production company, but still does some acting on the side. A pictorial biography was released in 1995, called Everything But The Nipple.

Playboy Appearances:
Leon prides herself on having never appeared nude, in either films or photographs. She maintains that a body double was used for the nude scene in Blood From The Mummy’s Tomb, according to an interview with Tim Greaves in the film magazine Little Shoppe of Horrors (issue 12).
