From 1953 to 1972, the Hollywood Bowl had a giant reflecting pool fronting the stage. Micky Dolenz leapt into it during a 1967 Monkees' concert, leading to the group reportedly being banished from the Bowl. It was replaced with seats, but there remains a "Pool Circle" walkway by the stage.
